Check if you need a permission in Krommenie

Krommenie has its own regulations regarding tree cutting and trimming. In some municipalities (Dutch: “gemeente”) you can cut any of your trees without a permit. Unless the tree is on the protected tree list of your municipality. In other municipalities you need to apply for a permit for even the smallest of trees and the permit request alone can cost a lot of money.
Permit or not, you are always required to adhere to the dutch Environment Law (dutch: Omgevingswet). It aims to protect wildlife and nature in general. Mainly applicable to occupied bird nests or year round protected bird nests.

The municipal tree regulations can be found in the “Algemene Plaatselijk Verordening”, or AVP in short, of your municipality.

Techniques for Cutting Down and Removing Trees

When space is scarce or valuable items are positioned beneath your tree, we employ climbing, speed-line, and lowering rope methods to carefully dismantle your tree. By using a speed-line, we can guide branches away from the tree to a safer landing area. Climbing techniques are not only the safest but also the most effective way to safeguard nearby property or goods. This method ensures the tree removal is conducted with precision and control. For full tree removal, we might use climbing spurs along with a flip-line or lanyard. However, during tree trimming, we avoid using spurs to prevent tree damage and reduce the risk of disease.
